Two important agricultural biotechnology companies are joining forces to offer biological solutions for extensive crops.
The two companies, Certis Biologicals (USA) and Novozymes (Denmark), have initiated joint development of technologies as alternatives to achieve highly effective control of fungal diseases.
Currently, the two companies are conducting field trials that will test combinations of Certis Biologicals' biofungicide active ingredient with new Novozymes actives recently registered for use in the market.
Amy O'Shea, president and CEO of Certis Biologicals highlighted the alliance. " “The biopesticide expertise and leadership of Certis, together with the innovation of Novozymes, is a powerful partnership that will bring new solutions to row crop growers at a time when effective crop protection is more crucial than ever,” she said. “Growers need innovative solutions, and we are proud to be part of bringing those solutions to the marketplace with Novozymes.”
Both companies expect trials to begin yielding data in November 2022, ahead of the 2023 growing season.
