The Dutch company Koppert has reported difficulties by the European Commission (EC) to register organic plant protection products. This within the framework of the Green Deal pact carried out by the EC, which seeks to halve the use of chemicals for crop protection in a period not exceeding eight years.
While the goal is a priority for the institution, Koppert has argued that Brussels is the entity that hinders the registration of products. Meanwhile, Berkel in Rodenrijs complains about the slow registration of organic crop protection products, which has become a priority for the new management of the company.
