Bolivian President Luis Arce said that his Government approved decrees that will allow to fund a US$9 million a bio-input factory for agriculture.

This was stated in a publication on social networks at the end of January. "We are moving forward in industrialization with import substitution, in harmony with Mother Earth," he said on his Facebook account.

The information was replicated by the Minister of Productive Development and Plural Economy, Néstor Huanca, who informed that the Bolivian Government approved supreme decrees that make viable the financing of Bs 65.6 million for the construction of a bio-inputs plant in the Santa Cruz region.

With this approval, work is now underway on the bidding process to hire the construction company, said the head of that state ministry.

Contacted the Ministry to inquire about deadlines and focuses of the new plant, officers indicated that they had no additional information in this regard. However, they pointed out that at the end of February there could be more news.
